TULSA, OK (September 7, 2007) – Eddie Rogers and his Fast Eddie’s Race Team is heading to Tulsa Raceway Park for the Miss Torco Shootout, Throw Down in T-Town. The Berryville, Arkansas family run team has been a long-time contender in local Pro Mod racing action, and now the team is seeking a big win in Tulsa .
"We have been working hard all year to step things up a little at a time,” said Amanda Grunwald, team co-tuner. “We have worked hard on being consistent, and it's starting to pay off. We know there will be a lot of good cars this weekend, but we also know we are good. We just want to go out and run the best we can and stay on top of our game."
With consistency on their mind, and speed in their heart, the entire team wants to show the world what everyone in the mid-west already knows. With several round wins under their belt and solid points position in Pro Mod at Ozark International Raceway, Rogers, his wife Joyce and step-daughter Amanda will be gunning for some major competition this weekend in Tulsa .
"We are also hoping to gain some useful data for next week's Street Machines Shootout,” Grunwald further commented. “I believe we can be a real contender in both races, but it's going to be about who can manage their power the best. Overall, we are just pleased to be competing at this level. Additionally, a final round appearance would be a great birthday present for Eddie to give himself."
The team would like the acknowledge Fast Eddie's Transmissions, Nomad Welding, Urban Hillbilly Action Videos, Neal Chance Converters and Mild to Wild Graphics for their continued support.
The next event for Fast Eddie’s Race Team is Street Machines Shootout, September 21 – 22 at Ozark International Raceway.
