NEWAYGO, Michigan – Since the conclusion of the O’Reilly Summer Nationals in Topeka, the Etterman Racing Team has been hard at work preparing for their fall tour, which includes eight scheduled races.
“We wanted to take some time and review everything on and within the car to regroup for the fall,” states George Etterman, team owner. “Crew Chief David has been working hard on the car, as well as getting the appropriate parts and pieces ready to race. Jane, David, Jonathan, Dickie, Genie, Katie and I are all eager to go racing. We will go to the Lucas Oil Division 3 race in St. Louis from August 4 to 6th, before heading to the Lucas Oil Nationals in Brainerd, Minnesota the following weekend,” concludes Etterman.
“Only three more weeks until we go racing and I can’t wait!” exclaims Jonathan Johnson, driver. “The whole team is very ecstatic to get back to the track and race again. However, at our last few events, we were troubled with a parts problem and needed to take this off time to reorganize in order to be as competitive as we should be within the class. Etterman Racing still has more than half of our scheduled races remaining, and we feel that there is plenty of time for a solid finish. I think it’s safe to say that this entire team is looking forward to August 4!” asserts Johnson.
“We are heading to St. Louis to race but also as a test session. We want to be sure that we have everything in top notch order for this fall swing” stated Crew Chief, David Scheelk. “There is still plenty of racing left for the year, and we plan on making the most of it!”
