As you remember, Jimmy Alund got a lot of press, both for taking over for Greg Anderson and personality. It was nice to see a new personality and if any of you pay attention to social media, Elvira Karlsson is another one of those new personalities that the NHRA should take a look at as she's young, attractive, and another foreign racer. Sweden has a pretty decent drag race following as does all of Scandinavia. We need to generate some more excitement and these new kids may be the way to go especially since she is a woman.

Add to that Kirsten Tucker in Pro Stock. That bit of video (I forget which race) that highlighted her and her Brother Shane, the two of them teasing each other towing with the golf cart and in their trailer was pretty funny. That's good stuff. If you have to show me "human interest" stories, the least you can do is make me laugh, and they did. Drag Racing. Where the talent is hundreds of miles long, and the track isn't even a quarter mile anymore.

Should have mentioned them. That was one of the best and funny human interest stories. It's also another hotbed for drag racing, too.

Her save after the bike tried to throw her off a few weeks ago was amazing. Hard to believe she stayed on the bike.

Her Instagram account is definitely worth viewing. ;) http://instagram.com/elviraakarlssonnn

I would also like a story on Terry Chandler and her husband. I think it's great for the Make a Wish foundation.

What about a behind the scenes story on the Don or V. Gaines. Both of these guys run large businesses outside of drag racing.

What about a human interest story on Ken Black and his road to recovery? There are so many interesting folks in drag racing.
