Does any track have unique, tasty concrssions? (2 Viewers)

Which tracks have food that's really good and something other tracks don't have? We can even expand to drink options if a local brewer can sell at their local track.

National Trail used to allow the local pizza place to have a trailer on site. It is now gone not sure if it is coming back since IHRA took over. Norwalk ice cream deal, that's all I can think of. All the rest I have been too seem to be a "fixed" system. I think it was Indy one year an independent was selling bottled water of a buck, he was promptly told to stop it and if he did not he would be removed.
I bought a couple bottles, went back later to get some more and that is what he told me IIRC it was now $4.

I have great memories but don't know if they do anymore but the Motorplex used to have smoked Turkey legs, Indy had Italian Sausage Sandwiches with onions/pepper and RIP ETown was famous for Lemonade made while you waited.

Johnnys pizza trailer at maple grove,i loved that pizza,i was always 1st in lime when they opened lol. Since koretzkys took over no more johnnys , grrrrrr

Are you guys kidding with this question? Really? Does this even have to be asked? There can be only one answer to this question.

I defy anyone to top Pomona in recent years, since In-N-Out Burger started the Title Sponsorship of the track. Now, there are In-N-Out "cookout trucks" in every corner of the pits. No waiting in lines. Always with their trademark excellent service. And all prices only slightly higher than out in the real world. What could be better?

Thanks to Lyndsi Snyder for continuing the Company's involvement in NHRA drag racing. She should be racing her "Flying Dutchman" Pro Mod car this weekend at Pomona. She's done well there in recent years.

I have not been to Pomona in a few years but that is awesome. I was wondering if they had something set up. You could have El Merendero in the morning for breakfast burritos and In N Out for lunch and never go hungry at the race.

I truly believe Johnny's Pizza saved my life.

I hid under their overhang during a nasty lightning storm

This is not directly addressing the OPs post, but I know those sausage sandwiches were at all the events I went to….and they were great!

What I remember fondly were apple dumplings with ice cream and cinnamon syrup in Memphis and Indy, ribs in Memphis, and half-pounder charcoal grilled burgers in ATL. I haven’t been to an event in over a decade so I can’t speak to what’s out there now. But people do rave about BIR, and the ice cream at Norwalk. I would think New Hampshire would have some sort of lobster thing?

I didn’t experience any of the track food at Pomona the two times I went. I sprang for top eliminator club, so I ate all their food. Which was pretty good.

I’m sure I’d have a double double at Pomona to honor In-N-Out as the sponsor. I had them several times in LA, and once in Flagstaff. Their burgers are really just average.

BIR used to have turkey legs. haven't seen them for a few years. maybe the squeeky cheese curds are unique to BIR?
seems like the two most unique foods at nat. events are ice cream @ norwalk, and in-n-out @ pomona.

Went to the New England race a few years ago, some vendor was selling the best Italian Ice we've ever had. Kids and I still talk about it.

That sounds awesome! We would have loved that when we were at Pomona in 2019. Instead there were crazy long lines for $20 mediocre cheese steaks. It was painful listening to the on-track action I was missing while waiting. We did get the absolutely craziest eliminations of my 33 years of NHRA races and went to In & Out off track after the races so all is good.

i know in-n-out is moving headquarters to TN, and not sure if they have plans to expand east of MS river?
can you imagine if in-n-out had exclusive hamburger rights to all nhra nat. events? logistics aside, could you imagine the marketing
for probably 2/3 of the events where you can't get their food? the stands would be empty cuz everyone would be in line for dd's
