Why do the front ends of the Dodge Pro Stock cars bounce so much?
I have noticed this for a while, but never noticed any of the other brands doing it. Today I payed close attention to all of the brands & only saw the Dodges bounce & they all bounced a lot. Ever the view from AJ's in car camera showed it.

Did you look to see if they had hydraulics in the trunk :o

Watch John Kernan's slow motion video of the PS final, linked in another thread. You'll see Mike Edward's GXP bouncing as much or more as the Dodge in the other lane.

You better watch it again.

I didn't see any pronounced difference in bouncing on the video either....and lanes are different as far as where the bumps are, and I imagine it matters when the shift occurs in relation to the bumps that would dampen a bounce versus amplifying it....but what I did notice was Greg Anderson was good in the ESPN booth (quite informative) especially speaking on shock tech timing and variability, so there's yet another chance at magnifying a bounce....

i thought Greg did an excellent job in the booth also, they even had him commenting while the nitro cars were running ! It dawned on me that Greg and Jason are about the only drivers i can think of, thats never been in the booth during race day and that says alot because since they tune each others engine, and one of the cars are almost always alive in the late rounds !
