Did anybody in Vegas notice?

How many Foreigners were there? I'm not complaining don't misunderstand, just I met fans from Australia, New Zealand, Norway, The UK and Brazil! I have met fans from overseas at many races over the years, but never at one race! Vegas 2 has truly become an international Drag race!

Just missed making it this year, but back in '09 I sure as heck noticed the international flavor. Strolling the pits, me and the OL heard at least six or seven different languages.

Fall Vegas seems to be like that a lot. I think many are there for SEMA from around the world, and then just come early to go out to the drags. I've sat next to what seems to be the UN at Pomona too.

Hmm? The UN of drag racing. Could it beeee ... a new sanctioning body?

And Paul, you're one funny mofo. LMAO.

I have a good friend from Belgium who works in World Rally racing. I was chatting with him just yesterday about how my racing season is over until probably March of next year. He told me he would try to find a way/reason for me to travel to a WRC event on the other side of the planet in January. That would be too cool! Let me be a foreigner at a race!

But Paul, they are following a sport Americans no longer follow! lol:p

Lol, it is vegas as well. There must be tons of people there not from the USA all the time, but I have heard the strip and the actual las vegas strip are miles apart, you don't just go to the NHRA race by accident.

I've been a stage ralley worker here in Minnesota. Worked both start and finish lines. Really fun. You should take him up on it.

I noticed it too. It is happening at the Bakersfield nostalgia races as well.
And where are the pics Joe?

At CHRR, one Aussie team brought their Cackle car over the pond. Plus there were many Aussies there. Talked to a couple from England. Always lots of other countries represented. Makes for lots of fun!!!

Saw lot's of Canadians, Aussies, Brits, etc. at CHRR - all feverishly passionate about the sport. Heck, Bangshift.com made the trek from Australia to cover the event live. Can't even get American sports reporters to drive 50 miles to cover an event.

There was also a fella there by the name of Tom Compton. But after hearing some of the rulings his organization hands down I'm not sure what planet he was from :D:D:D
