Del Worsham... whats goin on ???

I was NITRO BREATH

Nitro Member
its been quite a while since they pushed AAron aside to bring in Dickie V but the car, over all, has not improved one bit. Dickie has had enuf time to make things happen. so its hard to believe with all the talent in that camp that Del has not been on the radar. 9th in the points comin out of indy. Jeez what gives??

What you guys always forget is the bottom line....no matter IF there is any team stuff going on or not, a given team has it's fate in it's own hands. You never have to worry about it if you beat the guy in the other lane instead of relying on someone else to help you out. What about Bode? He just kept on truckin and ended up the winner. Guess it's just the way things are now days, if you don't have enough cajones to get the job done on your own, whine about the other guy and maybe someone will GIVE you a win.

To me, it seemed like Alan had unfinished business in funny car. What is there left to prove in top fuel? I've seen him say he loves and has fun in top fuel, but it would so cool to see all of AJR's focus on funny car championships.

Maybe the Toyota body is not as good as the rest. Only a couple wins with that body. Arend, Cruz, Head, Del run that body with limited success.

AJ actually helped design the Toyota body, and giving that he is one f the smartest in the biznas, I wouldn't point fingers at the body

I say get rid of that Toyota body and replace it with anything else that's actually American.

You do realize those Toyotas are made in Tennessee, don't you?

(As opposed to so many Big 3 badges that are made in Mexico, Canada, and who knows where else.)

the toyota fc bodies are flippin' beautiful and would bet money they
are just as slippery or slipperier than others

Georgetown, Kentucky. The Camry has been named the "most American car" for many years now, as it is built from 95% domestically sourced parts.

As for Del ... let's just say AJ has never, for whatever reason, put together a competitive funny car program.

Yeah and the money made goes back to Japan. Where as a Big 3 car made in say Canada, the money stays here.

And don't forgot Toyota's new slogan: "Moving you UNCONTROLLABLY forward."

Toyota pays Americans to build the cars ... so more people get some money. The Big 3 pays Canadians and Mexicans to build cars, and when the money comes back here, it is usually into the pockets of a few, or just goes into the money pits those companies have become.

Maybe Too slippery and not enough downforce.
Anyway, that team has way too much talent . Hope they get it into the winners circle a few more times before the end of the season.

Ive been told they wont have a funny car next year but potentially 2 top fuel dragsters. I havent heard anything to back that up but thats what I was told. I hope thats not the case, bc I like Del.
