I always thought he was arguable the best "leaver" out there and all around good guy.
Connolly should be in a 2nd Jegs car.
What is DC like at working on the car/setting it up, I think that WJ would want someone who can work on the car, like Kurt. Stanfield perhaps?

Would Stanfield want to drive for someone else? Not sure if he likes the driving or the engine building and setup side better.

There's a combination I could go for if WJ decided to let go of the wheel.
If you are looking for a pure driver, just go to the sportsman races and grab any supercomp champion for that. They're a dime a dozen.

Did Geoffrion work on the cars when he drove for WJ? I do think he would want someone who could contribute on both sides, but I think Dave would be an excellent fit....
Talent aside, and whether or not he deserves his reputation, Dave Connolly hasn't been able to escape it (at least not in my neck of the woods). With the economic situation as it is in the current environment most sponsors won't touch him. If he can't bring money to the operation he isn't going to get a job.
i predict that no one will ever drive for warren johnson as long as he continues to race. i have a hard time imagining warren standing at the starting line watching someone else go down the track in his car. Maybe a 3rd generation johnson might get the job someday, anybody know how old kurt's kids are ?

After having Lunch with Warren last year I know no one else will be driving for him, well in "his" car. I can't say I blame him. As long as Warren's feet can reach the pedals I think he will continue to run.

Not to take anything away from W.J. but it seems like he is getting burnt out..I never raced any type of car in my life but I have raced with snowmobiles for a very long time on ice,grass and asphalt..It was a very hard thing to work on the sled and drive it..I'am sure the same with everyone here on your cars..The best thing I ever did was to have someone drive my stuff.You could concentrate more on what the thing was doing.To do everything and try to cut a light was tough..For the most part having someone to just worry about driving helps out alot....I think they would be a dominate pair..
