Creasy is 'Back in Black' for back to back championship defense

BEECHER, Ill (January 21, 2008) - After winning back to back championships, Dale Creasy will defend his titles in 2008 with a slight change of scenery. Creasy will continue to carry the Torco Racing Fuels branding - this time in black and on the teams new Chevrolet Impala SS Funny Car body.

"Everything we've earned over the past two seasons has been because of Evan Knoll and Torco Race Fuels," Creasy said as he prepared for the Knoll Gas Nitro Jam season opener, April 4-6 at the Amalie Oil Texas Nationals in San Antonio, Texas. Although the Creasy Family Motorsports team won't be officially sponsored by Torco Race Fuels, Creasy couldn't think of running anything else on his car this season. "Evan has done so much for us. We wouldn't be where we are at without him. I couldn't see us running any other decal on our car."

The new look is something that Dale and his team have been looking forward to all off-season. "We've had this body for about eight months," Creasy said. "The Impala SS has a sleek look and we can't wait to get it on the track. We're excited about the new look and the new body. It looks fast standing still."

The classic Torco look was created by Mick Snyder and designed by Jef Caudle Designs. GO Graphix will produce and install the graphics.

In the late 90's Creasy drove two other black race cars, the MAD Magazine Nitro Funny Car and a #3 Dale Earnhart tribute car.

Dale Creasy is the only Nitro Funny Car Champion since the class was reintroduced in 2006. He is only the second Nitro Funny Car driver to log back to back championships. Mark Oswald repeated as Nitro Funny Car Champion in 1983-1984. Clay Millican holds the IHRA record for all professional classes with six (2001-2006) back to back championships in Top Fuel.

Dale Creasy, Jr. and his back-to-back championship Torco powered Nitro Funny Car, partner with high quality and performance companies like; Torco Race Fuels, Oakley, Red Line Oil, MSD, Crane Cams, BME, Fram Autolite, Polydyn TX7, TEK PAK, VSI, GM Performance and Beaver Shredding.
