I saw that Courtney ran a 3.995, so that's the first sub 4 run of the season, and I think that makes her the second woman to dip into the 3s. There has to be a site for stats like these out there somewhere, I just haven't found it yet.

The Question is WHY? How many Flopper Pilots Total Have been in the Threes? Then, How many Female Pipe-Rack Shoes have been in the Threes? And... How many Male Flopper Jocks have Run a Three? How Many Have put a Run in their Nylons? will someone pass the Boones Farm Blueberry Hill?

:)He He, Strawberry Hill, drank a whole bunch of that 40 years ago. Nice pass by Courtney, and Erica going from outside to number one, too. Too bad they couldn't get a fourth round in.

There for a minute, I thought you had had written "how many have made a run in their nylons?" My reply to that would have been "that's a different kind of drag racing!"

I am guessing you don't like baseball, with it's incessant stats collection. Anyway, to answer your question, I don't know exactly why I like stats, I just do. I'm not the only one, based on the fact that people pay attention to the stat guy (Lewis Bloom) on ESPN broadcasts - why else would ESPN have a dedicated stats guy?

Tom, Did about 25 to 45 games a season (Season Tickets from Dad's job) at the Big A, from the time it opened until I went in the canoe club in '73... Umpired for the WGG little league, '69-'72( Money to go to OCIR & Lions) talk about Ladder sheets... I was born 9/11/54... Nothing more A/R Than a Virgo

That was a great run by Courtney, but dang, her car is hard to look at. I can't believe Traxxas approves that paint job. Looks like a freakin' Philippine taxi.

I love the paint scheme. Fun, party-like and I'm sure kids love it too. Never been to the Philippines, so never saw their taxis. :D
Locals call them a "Jeepney." This one is sporting ground effects and has Army and Marvel sponsors :D

I am taking a break from editing the latest episode of Legends: The Series and thought I'd chime in some stats. For the record, Courtney was the 38th Funny Car driver to land in the threes since we went to 1000 feet. Her run in Pomona represented the first on record by a Chevrolet. The most three second runs have come in Pomona with Ford and Mopar tied at 12. Last year there were 19 three-second runs from 12 drivers.

38 drivers or 38 times that someone has been in the 3's????

There may have been 38 runs in the 3's ... but there is no way 38 drivers have been in the 3's. I would be curious to know if there have even been 38 different Funny Car drivers to qualify since we went to 1,000ft. There is something else wonky about those stats, if there have 38 runs in the 3's and Ford and Dodge are tied for the lead with 12 each, that would leave 14 runs in the 3's for other manufacturers. Take one away for Courtney's Chevy, and that leaves 13 runs ... and the only other manufacturer in Funny Car during this time is Toyota ... Which would mean they would have the lead with 13 runs in the 3's.

EDIT: Now that I think about it ... I don't think there have been 38 runs in the 3's. When Snap-On started that program with Cruzer last year where they donated money for every run in the 3s, they went a LONG time between 3 second runs (Etown to Maple Grove maybe?).
