Congratulations on bringing home the 2018 NHRA Top Fuel World Championship. You all definitely deserve it. Yall kicked major rear end this season. Enjoyed every minute of it.

Now let's bring this last Wally home. Congrats again!

Congratulations to Steve and the entire Capco team!

Remarkable performance.....total dominance.
I was pulling for Clay but the boys were on a mission,

THAT'S the way you win a championship. Dominate all year, take no prisoners. Congratulations Steve & Team Capco!

I was pulling for Clay but the boys were on a mission,

I am with you on that one...

Clay has had an awesome year, and I am a fan of his.
But for all of the CAPCO team, Well Done! 👍

Taking nothing away from the incredible season, so far, I am pulling for them to make history and sweep the countdown...none of my business, but the financial nerd in me is curious to see the balance sheet for the year.
I know in 1989 Bruce Larsen spent over 800K for the year and took in 550K and won the championship. I can only speculate what the Capco deficit is unimaginable. Mathematically his current winnings are slightly under what was spent to make the total qualifying laps.

Again, not to derail the thread...just thinking

Pete, the NASCAR Cup championship is huge, seven figures, but, the budget to win it is a big multiple of that. My meaning is, the cost to chase any championship is always way bigger than the prize.

That's where the sponsor helps out......oh...wait a minute;).
Boys and their toys!

Absolutely agree. I'm just a financial nerd on what actual costs are....I was amazed at how much of an education I got with running my Super Street car and that budget might have been enough to cover the party Capco had Sunday night

on july 8th, steve won the new england race, he would not win again until sept. 16th, and has not lost yet. a deserving champion if there ever was one......and independent
stringer racing with grubby and clay fighting with them and in 2nd place, another amazing season. mcmillen wins indy. palmer in top 10. what a great year for TF.
i predict that mike salinas will break thru in 2019 and contend towards the top all season, rite along with the usual suspects which again will include millican, with the very recent announcement
of mike kloeber joining the team!
