Las Vegas, NV – Cody Perkins and his 801 Racing Top Alcohol Dragster is returning to competition this weekend after a few months off. The time off from racing was spent tinkering in the shop, fortifying the reserves, refining the combination, and pouring over data. Making his return at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is an easy choice. Perkins has more trips down the Vegas “Strip” than any other racetrack. The run data is immense and now comes the chance to put theory into practice.

“I spent a lot of time in an uncomfortable chair looking at computer data and now I can’t wait to sit in the comfy chair of my dragster,” said Perkins. “I have always liked this track. In the spring I went to the finals in TAD. Then I went to the final at the Mile High Nationals in Denver in super comp. That’s back to back National finals – a mini streak if you will. Now I’m back in the Top Alcohol Dragster and it’s time to go fast. If we have temperatures above seventy-five degrees, the car and I will love it. I can’t thank 801 Racing and the equipment service company INESCO enough for this opportunity. ”

Perkins is bringing something innovative to Las Vegas this time around; 801 Racing‘s newly released Heavy Mettle Performance Oil Treatment. It penetrates into the pores of the metal parts and creates a film strength that can't be achieved any other way, further reducing friction. It allows you to wring out every drop of horsepower available to your engine. It will turn any oil into performance oil. John Hill of 801 Racing is happy to have Perkins back racing at a National event. “We're just excited to see Cody back out at the "Strip". After his last performance in Vegas it will be exciting to see what cards he's got in his hands this time.”

Heavy Mettle isn’t the only new thing Perkins brought with him. Loaded in the trailer above his dragster is a Top Alcohol Funny Car. The Perkins’ family has had the car for a while, working on it when they can. The time off allowed them to bring the package together. There is a possibility of a license run following the conclusion of the race. It doesn’t matter if it’s a Top Alcohol Dragster, Alcohol Funny Car, or Super Comp car, Cody Perkins is ready to take on The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This weekend’s thrill ride is just a comfy chair for going fast, and that beats sitting at a computer any day.

We believe true happiness comes from blazing down the blacktop with the pedal to the metal and our hair on fire. The whiter our knuckles get, the better. If it were up to us, cars wouldn't even have brakes, just two gas pedals. It's this never-ending need for speed that drives everything we do. We spend countless hours in the lab and lying awake at night plotting and planning how to get more speed by any means possible. After decades of research and innovation, we've developed a complete line of performance and car care products designed to ensure that your ride lives up to its potential on the street and on the track. We know what you want. We got what you need. We are 801 Racing. For more information on 801 racing, please visit: 801 Racing -
