The "new" NHRA management should spend the money and implement any of the new technologies for track cleaning to keep down times to a minimum instead of penalizing the racer's pockets. Here's a few ideas I found, what are yours?

Some good stuff there.
And I like that you brought a solution and not just bashing someone (NHRA).

I especially liked this comment from the Tide article.
The only question Montgomery couldn’t answer Tuesday morning had nothing to do with chemistry. Instead he was wondering how there was so much Tide on hand. “Did they send somebody to the nearest Wal-Mart and clean the place out?"

I am guessing you don't go to National events. Because then you would know that NHRA uses most of that equipment you noted.

• 2 Power Bosses are used for all spills on the 1/4 mile. They use a common soap for industrial cleanup.
• There are always 2 vacuum / sweeper trucks on property. They are smaller becuase heavier equipment will damage the rubber race surface.
• At least 2 jet dryers, depending on the event. There were 5 at Indy.

And ... NHRA is always looking for better materials for cleaning up spills. Right now they use the one they feel works best in their application.

It's been at least 2 years since I could attend an event....rain and work schedules are to blame....

The thread is meant to start a "brain storming" session among us to see if there are any better ideas out there...even if they aren't specifically for racing surfaces.....
