Is Charlotte the only race that has no Sportsman tv show? ( That has T/AD and T/AFC)

It'd be nice if they did a sportsman show even without the alky cars to highlight all of the other classes a little more. Lord knows they love to use Stockers and Super Stockers wheelstanding into and out of every commercial.

Yea I totally agree with that

It is Lucas Oil Sportsman Series... NOT Top Alcohol Series

Ill agree that other classes are not as exciting to watch on TV but come on... its not like the sportsman series is out there for ratings as much as it is for exposure. If you put all the sportsman classes on TV, even if only highlights, it would deffinately make it a lil easier for sportsman racers to get sponsors. Sportsman racers with sponsors would deff help to fuel the whole racing market

Sportsman racers used to be shown a lot more than they are now. The main NHRA broadcast used to show the final rounds of all categories on Sunday. I used to watch NHRA Today because it used to be good and covered everything compared to now having just the pro drivers talk about what they had for breakfast. I mean maybe its only when I watch it, Im not sure.

Back in the mid/late 90s, my old man made it on TV a couple times when they did their lil sportsman tid-bits. I remember one time when we were in ATL, Bob Frey came over to interview my old man for NHRA Today and I was filmed working on the car and we made it on TV.

So again the major public doesnt care about those stories and races and I understand why they dont make it to prime-time but atleast they should make it to the Lucas broadcast. Hell if they did I would have the DVR include it.

I also think it would be a perfect time to let Bob Frey really drop some knowledge about the other classes, how the indexes work, how the CIC works, why those cars launch-stop-then go again, why that person got there first but lost, all that stuff. They do a very good job with it during the Jeg's All-Stars show from Rt. 66! But, to be able to elaborate further on it a few times throughout the year might help out some of the people that attend national events and sit there and scratch their heads as to what's going on, get frustrated, and go get a hot dog instead of watching racing that they paid for (and probably complained about the ticket price of too). Hell, NHRA and Lucas Oil pay for that airtime, maybe it would convince one more person to get out to a divisional race near them.
