Camp Wild Horse moves behind starting line, adds entertainment and Ron Capps for Feb. 21-23 NHRA Arizona Nationals (1 Viewer)

how do you improve a race? sometimes the answer has nothing to do with the cars, the drivers, or the track.
looks like a commitment to the future of this race?.......hope this is a big hit for the track and the event.

Mike, the GRIC has spent the last year or so making technical improvements to the track, late last year LED lights were installed which really improved visibility at night, and then had Kurt Johnson out to grind flat out to 300' just a few weeks ago; to be honest this is the first time in my tenure there that I've seen this level of activity and work go into the track that wasn't specifically for the nationals. We've heard a lot of rumors over the last few years, like replacing the track with a water park; but, we're seeing some actual commitment to the track and facility now and it's very encouraging because there's a lot of life left in one of the longest tracks on the NHRA circuit. YMMV
