LAS VEGAS - Now that the 2008 drag racing season is winding down, race car fabricator and second generation racer Bret Williamson is hoping to qualify and gather valuable data that his Team Eagle Top Alcohol Funny Car team needs in Las Vegas this weekend as they head into the final race at Pomona next week.
"We've had great numbers during testing with our new tune up from Randy Anderson" notes Williamson. "Now we just need to pull everything together for this weekend and apply those numbers in competition".
Williamson and his team know that this isn't going to be an easy task and every lap is going to be essential due to the car count at this last Lucas Oil Racing Series Divisional Event of the year.
"There are many good teams that are attending this race from all over the country and the competition is going to be tough, so above all, we really want to run strong and remember to have fun".
Bret Williamson and his wife Kelly have so many people to thank for all of their hard work throughout the years. First off is Williamson's father Don Williamson who introduced him at a young age to drag racing. Additional thanks go to Randy Anderson, Josh Kalich, Jeff Stiers, Robert Quill, Don Beams and Bret's son, Brad Williamson.
The final Lucas Oil Racing Series event of the season for Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car qualifying begins on Friday, November 7th at 4 p.m. Qualifying resumes on Saturday with two qualifying passes at1:00 and 4:30 p.m. Final Eliminations will begin on Sunday, with Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car running first round at noon.
