Maybe it's not fair to compare to Alan Reinhart but I am surprised by the incorrect info Bill is announcing. Maybe I'm being picky but here are examples:
1. Announced Mike Berry as Q1 top qualifier well after Q1 was finished
2. Mentioned Pro Stock Bike field had 21 cars when 22 had already run. Michael Phillips skipped Q1 but did run Q2.
3. During Funny Car Q4 mentioned that Brittany Force was on the bump for Top Fuel for Sunday. She was on the bump for Q3 but moved up in Q4.
There were other small points like these but these are the ones that come to mind.
I was also at Pomona and Phoenix. There is a big gap right now between Alan and Bill. And I'm not commenting on style, just accuracy. I'll give Bill time on the style issue.
Given the huge upgrade of Dave Rieff from Paul Page, I'll say that overall the changes this year are definitely positive, especially considering no one could replace Bob Frey!
Oops, you made a mistake. You said that I said "Pro Stock Bike had 21 CARS..." I didn't say that. Only kidding. Thanks for the input and opinion to all. Haven't done national event PA announcing since 1999. Not an excuse for mistakes and I'm still getting my chops back. Lots of things have changed, some things are the same. Will I make more mistakes? Probably. Everyone in this line of work will stumble from time to time. But it's great to be back.
NICE!!! James edits his posts and my post is removed!!!
No wonder the pros ignore this board!!!

The Pros ignore this because of the stuff that was deleted. No need for name calling like a first grader.
