Hate it for Brandon, but I couldn't imagine doing anything with a bad back that's as punishing to your body as racing is. There's just something about back pain that's debilitating.

Mark... funny thing is with this kind of disc problem there is no back pain. Pain is in the leg and thigh. I know what brandon is going through. I had 2 damaged discs that were pressing on a nerve. The pain in my thigh was just about unbearable. I got the same shot as he did and it did the trick. it took a long month to recover. I was given the choice of an operation but decided it wasnt for me. Almost two years down the line and the discs are getting to full recovery which im told is rare. The front of my calf is numb and i think will be forever. But presents no problems. I hope things go well for you brandon.

Supposedly no, his broken back from the crash was higher in his back than his current issue.

this is like 1989 when Dick LaHaie had the bad back and broken rib. I hope Brandon has the similar result that Dick had in that Dick won the race.
