Benny's ready for a Triple challenge at the Castrol EDGE Winternationals.
No matter which day you attend the Castrol EDGE Winternationals, you should see a Bray go down the track.
Ben Bray is gearing up for his own adrenaline pumped Triple Challenge at this week-end's Grand final of the 2007/2008 season the Castrol EDGE Winternationals. With entries is his regular bracket of Top Doorslammer and Top Alcohol and now with Mr-1200 entered in Super Stock, Ben will be part of every day of the new expanded Winternationals program.
"Over the past year I dipped my toe into the sports compact arena and it was good for us, we purchased the 1200 Ute in 06 as a project that had been started and then left to fall away. Having never done anything with 4 cylinders and a turbo before we had a lot to learn.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the guys from Turbosmart, Haltech,Garrett Turbos, Hyper Tune and Nick from APC.
Only 2 weeks ago in Sydney, the car ran a new PB of 8.17 @163. So we will see what we can do on our home track.
It's great to be doing what you love day in day out. But I really did not want to sit on the side line for the 1st day of the biggest drag racing meet of the year. I just couldn't do it," confessed 24 year-old Ben.
The Castrol Edge Winternationals is the final round of the 2007/2008 Championship Season and it will be a good opportunity for the Team Bray turbo team to test their newly acquired hardware in readiness for the first 2008/2009 Championship season.
