BAE Renews Support of Pro Mod Series, Sponsors $50,000 BAE Championship Cup

ONTARIO, Calif. - Brad Anderson Enterprises, Inc. (BAE), purveyor of racing engines and cylinder heads heavily used in sportsman and professional drag racing, has renewed its commitment to the AMS Staff Leasing Pro Modified Challenge presented by Tindle Enterprises, Inc. and will fund the $50,000 BAE Championship Cup for the 2007 season series points chase.

Brad Anderson, long-time racer, tuner and the founder of BAE, said his passion for racing and Pro Mods drives his support for the class, and that he hopes it will continue to grow in fan and sanctioning-body support.

"These racers are just as professional as the top nitro teams in the sport, and their determination and competitive spirits are the reason I love this class," Anderson said.

"I know that it's important to have purses for the drivers to be rewarded for all of their hard work, and it's my privilege to give back to them," he said.

The 2007 AMS Pro Modified driver earning the most points through the ten events will be crowned World Champion and receive a check for $25,000. Unlike 2006, which awarded a $25,000 winner-take-all prize, the runner-up will be awarded $8,000, and third through tenth places will divide the balance incrementally. Points are earned based on the final standings of each event, with bonuses given for world records and participation. The winner of every race receives 500 points, runner up 400, semifinalists 300, quarterfinalists 200, and qualifiers 100.

Pro Mod series director, Matthew Brammer, said, "Brad's support of our class shows just how much our success means to him — both as a racer and as a manufacturer, and the value our sponsors receive. I'm looking forward to this year, and many more years of our relationship with BAE.

"Racers know that with 'Brad Horsepower' under the hood, their chances for winning increase dramatically, and I can honestly say that as a series, the Pro Mod series is definitely winning with that Brad Horsepower, too," Brammer said.

Anderson currently puts his years of expertise on the line as he tunes and advises for his daughter and son-in-law, Shelly and Jay Payne. Jay is the defending AMS Pro Mod World Champion, thanks largely to Anderson's talents and engine-building prowess.

The AMS Staff Leasing Pro Modified Challenge presented by Tindle Enterprises, Inc. begins competition March 15-18 in Gainesville, Fla. at the ACDelco NHRA Gatornationals.

The AMS Staff Leasing Pro Modified Challenge, presented by Tindle Enterprises, Inc. pits the very best blown, nitrous, and turbo-charged Pro Modified drag racers against one another for the coveted BAE Championship Cup and a combined a purse and championship fund of more than $365,000. On a national platform at ten NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series national events, the AMS Pro Mods are at the pinnacle for Pro Mod racers worldwide.
