Just wondering how much this has to do with Courtney's recent concussion? I'm thinking JFR is making a smart move by having Ashley ready if needed for any of the three funny cars. As much as I'd like to see her race again, hopefully it won't be under those kind of circumstances.
Neff is too busy tuning Robert's #1 ranked car at the moment, but he's another driver if absolutely needed.

She did a nice job yesterday. I thought she'd make a couple short hits and see how it felt. Hell no, she ran 4.11 on the first pull clicking it off about 900 feet. Then ran 4.01-4.05 the next 3 passes.

By her own words during the Saturday broadcasts, she has no intention of returning and is just keeping her license current. Presumably, in the event JFR needs to get a licensed body to step in for whatever reason. Still, 2 years out and she pulls off 4.0x? Wow. Numbers like that would have put her in the top 3 qualifying and were as good or better better than Alexis' numbers all weekend.

Where exactly did you hear this? This has to be one of the more funny rumors I have heard in awhile. So you are telling me that if John gets hurt and Ashley is pregnant again (Courtney is committed to Traxxas), Castrol walks out on the remainder of their contract because of this "clause" in their contract. Castrol announcing last year they are moving on should tell you if they really care who is behind the wheel if something unfortunate was to happen to John.

Whether it is written in a contract or not, John said it on air when asked about the reason for the renewal of her license.

It was a recent telecast and if you want to hear it yourself, you do the research and find it.

Another thing mentioned was the fact she couldn't renew her license last year due to pregnancy. If she had been able to keep it current there probably wouldn't have been all this hooplah about it.
