I am reading this thread from the beginning to have negative tones. Those two cars/teams racing each other is an opportunity. Why wouldn't Don run them heads-up? Since either way one of his sponsors wins and both get exposure. The fans want to see racing and Don wins no matter what. Plus it's an opportunity to one up those that supposedly Dive. Could be the race that we talk about through silly season.

They only have Matco for 2 races, so why would you let them beat long time DSR sponsor ARMY?

I wasn't being negative. No way would i think the Matco tools car would lay down now this far into the game. That would foolish and i cannot see those guys doing that. Would be nice if they won the championship just because of the hassles and everything else that has gone on.

Didn't Lee Beard want to buy the operation last time it changed hands but didn't find out about it after the deal was done ?

So you think that the ARMY would want for the MATCO car to lay down, or would they rather win it heads up???
It's one thing to have a team car as a blocker, especially if they are not in the fight, but where's the sport in having your major competition lay down.
I would think that there would be alot more meaning and integrity to the Championship by winning it heads up. I'm sure that the ARMY feels the same way.

Looks like I'm a little late in responding to you. I never said anything about letting them beat the ARMY team. My message was meant to say that DSR will do well by having them run hard against each other. Since they are both top notch teams they can be blockers for each other by continuing to run as they have been all year long, stout! And if they meet up so be it and hope you brought enough.
