CHARLOTTE, NC (May 1, 2011) – The Coffman Tank Trucks Buell of Angie Smith came out of Houston, Texas disappointed, but motivated for Atlanta.
Smith struggled a bit in qualifying during the weekend, but knew what she had to do come race day. Qualifying in the 15th position for Sunday’s eliminations, Smith would face off against the number two qualifier of Karen Stoffer.
Smith proved she was a force to be reckoned with on the tree as she left on Stoffer, however her Buell didn’t run the numbers she was hoping. Smith would lose in the first round after a frustrating weekend in Texas.
“I’m disappointed,” said Angie Smith. “We had a few bumps in the road early in the weekend, but we were ready for first round today. We made a good run, but it just wasn’t good enough. We will pack up and head to the next one. I’m definitely ready to get out of here and get to Atlanta.”
The Pro Stock Motorcycle field will run in Atlanta, GA in two weeks.
