From DRC "The atmospheric conditions were what racers call mineshaft conditions with an adjusted altitude reading of -1400' below sea level." If you were going to have a run like that those were the conditions for it. IIRC the record was set with a DA just below sea level.

Wow, congratulations to the whole KB organization. They are the hardest working bunch of guys, I'm glad to see their dedication paying off.

It's only testing
Was car legal weight?
Testing is a great place to play mind games

Why would the car not be at legal weight? With the cost of a single run why would you waste one on a show off. And were are you taking the weight from the front or the back. Both will throw the clutch setup out the window. Doesn't make any sense to me. I would say the car would be legal weight.

I'd agree. And I think we have had this discussion a few times over when someone throws a big number during testing.

Testing in anything but legal form would be a waste of time and money. It would serve no purpose.
BINGO!!

Unless you're testing at legal weight and configuration, any information on the tuneup or suspension setup is useless for anything except match race conditions.

As far as head games go, all Greg has to do is show up, unload the car and hang up a few opaque plastic curtains, and everyone on this board at least goes apesh&t! :p

Mission accomplished and much easier on the parts. :)

AWESOME RUN! congrats to greg and the entire summit team, thats flying. its funny that the 1st thing all the haters say is about weight :D . 6.52 @ 212 is all you need to know. congrats to the hardest working bunch out there. 1320 rules!

I remember a couple of years ago a certain Mopar P/S female ran a huge number in testing and we all know how that turned out.

You're saying GA & JL's daddys are gonna get pissed off the their sons are the number 2 car on the team and decide to go off on their own?;)

Yes....we all know how that turned out. She never ran that number again, lost her ride, lost her engine builder, lost her following, and is now driving the slowest Pro Stock car in the pits.

Those guys are the class of the field. 212 miles per hour is HUGE! I'm in shock.....

She was running virtually alone. Look at the teams testing at the same time as Greg to get a true reference:

Also testing were Allen Johnson (6.600, 209.98), Johnny Gray (6.600, 209.72), and Larry Morgan (6.608, 209.72). On Tuesday, Jason Line, Anderson's KB Racing teammate, ran a best of 6.57, 210.

Greg's run was in a class of it's own :)

Im just glad to see someone back in the 210's...especially after that new rule to put higher carbon wickers on the wings and front wheel fenders last year...that slowed them down quite a bit....Congrats to the Summit team on two monster runs though!
