PRE-EVENT QUOTES:

"The rain will be a help and hindrance at the same time. From a motor perspective, it's been good for my Dad to have more time to work on and build more engines for this weekend's event. As a team, sitting around in the rain and having to travel back and forth can wear you out. We all had other plans; I was supposed to take my wife on a cruise. But, we're a professional team and we'll come back and roll with the punches. It will be a good weekend."

"I won my first race at Richmond in 1999; we'd love to repeat that day again this weekend. We have a good feeling about the end of the season, we're just going to have to break out of this first round/quarterfinals slump we've been in. We need to get to the semifinals and gain some points in the next few events. We're working to finish in the Top-five in points."

"I've never won two races in a season, I'd love to get our second win this weekend. We've worked really hard all season and had a good year. Dad's [Roy Johnson] got our engines running really well right now and Mark [Ingersoll] and the guys have worked hard to put us in this position. We really want to win one of the last three races and I think we should be contenders for all of them."
