He bet $2 on the the PA at Zmax that I wouldn't go .000 on reaction time.

I did, He paid me $2 Cash:cool:

Well I was on the Mic at the D1 Race @ Etown and called your run when you beat "Pac-man" Mike Robilotto (Those Robilottos are known for setting up good packages racing SC, for me it's a good thing it wasn't Heather aka "The Hurricane" LOL, I go way back with her and Dustan Lowell from Jr Dragsters @ LVD 1995.)

Are we talking about Alan Reinhart, the NHRA announcer? An honorable man?

Yeah, he really is kind of a good guy, ya know?

Like any normal human being he has favorites and probably a few racers he dislikes, but when he picks up the microphone none of that comes through. He's a thorough professional in his job.

At the top end of the track he often asks tough questions, and that's what separates the decent announcers from the great ones -- the ability to recognize a story and go after it. Alan does that, often under difficult circumstances.

And he always provides useful information to the casual fan when he is doing sportsmen racing and his love of the sportsman racers and our cars always comes through.

I knew who ALan was when he was the Track announcer at Firebird in Phoenix around '89-90? Met him in '95 when he was crewing for Scott Price's Alky Hydro!
