Of course, it was on the Army car — again. Or . . . is it just possible that Mike Green has his own tuneup? DSR is certainly proving all of those who predicted Sarge would never win another race WRONG. Congrats on another great job by a great team with a great leader.

someone still has to set timers, and adjust for altitude along with 500 other variables...... mike green seems to be doing one hell of a job.

Mike Green is kicking butt this year! Glad to see him doing well. A way underrated tuner in my opinion.

Thanks folks. Mike and the guys are dong a great, great job and they deserve all the credit in the world. Tony is also doing a great job also and that is what a team does. It is really early in this deal and we will see how Memphis goes.

They ARE doing a great job, Don, considering the way that they had to restructure at the beginning of the season.. Proof that if it's put together the right way from the start, the foundation will hold no matter how big the shakeup.

Good luck wishes and go a big "go get'um" from Tony's future driver (my kiddo Emmett- 7730 TA/JD) :D

Mike Green kicks ass! He is proving he is one of the best TF tuners out there today. Congrats to Tony, Mike and the entire Army Team on another great victory.

I hate to admit it, but that was a great pass in the right lane by the Army team. Don, congrats on the win. Even though there are plenty of points left out there, must you keep beatin' up on my man LD????;) I'm sure you like the status quo, but, it won't bother me if Dixon and Sarge switch numbers at the end of the year:D

Didn't Mike Green win the Funny Car Championship with Cruz back in '92?

Don't forget that Green (with the McDonalds car) was a crew chief that was running head to head with AJ. I enjoyed the hell out of it when those two would race each other then. Both twelve years younger than present and ballsy as hell. As soon as they knew they were running each other they would practically go get an electric driver and use it to open every clutch flow, lol.

very impressive win yesterday and based on what we fans saw on TV,
the final run in the rt. lane was outstanding.
congratulations.

So If you think it was an AJ tuneup in Tony's car.
Then what was in Larry's car?
Wouldn't AJ put the same Tuneup in Larrys car If thats what was going to work?

Me thinks you don't give Mike Green his credit due.

With changing conditions from race to race only a genius could keep someone elses tune-up competitive. Sooner or later your going to have to make tough calls. So, is Mike Green a "genius" or has he taken what he knows to the next level?

Of course the "genius" on any team is only as good as their crew. And the driver is responsible for the final step by bringing it all together. And if the driver is better at keeping it in the center of the lane than anyone else...

With the right lane being what it was, when Tony S. didn't get lane choice for the final, I thought he was dead meat. He then goes right down the track and I say to myself, "how the f*** did he do that?" Awesome job, Mike Green and team!

My first thought when I saw that Dixon had lane choice for the final was that they better make it down the track. I am not the biggest Schumacher fan in the world, but if you made me pick one team that could have made it down that lane they would have been it.

I don't get the non-Schumacher fans on their reasons why the dis-like?

Tony S has always been top-shelf in his interviews. Stop by the ropes in his pit area and he (Tony S) has always been open to discussion and is inquisitive on many different subjects. He always compliments the other teams he competes against...and his driving is very consistent.

I must admit when the news came out AJ was going on his own, I thought Larry Dixon is going to be champ for a LONG time. I also thought the Shoe wins were going to be few and far between. I was very wrong!
Considering AJ has won 9 titles since 1996 (I count 96, nobody was going to catch them) for any team that might beat them for a title is really getting it done.
