[coverattach=1]Elma, NY – With the ADRL Quarter-Max Drags’ semi-final and final rounds held over till Friday’s qualifying for the ADRL Ford Drive One Summer Drags V, Mike Janis has two shots in one event to take home his first ADRL Minute Man.
After defeating Brian Daniels, two weeks ago, in the quarter-finals of the ADRL Quarter-Max Drags, in Memphis, Mike Janis was preparing his Aeroquip backed Dan Page Race Cars built ride for the semis against Quain Stott. As Janis’ team prepared to pull their Jan-Cen “Monster Power” equipped machine from their pit area the race was called due to rain.
The rain delayed portion of the ADRL Quarter-Max event will be concluded this Friday night during qualifying for the ADRL Ford Drive One Summer Drags V. Leaving the Aeroquip team in familiar territory at Martin’s U.S 131 Dragway.
“It seems every time our team runs at Martin it’s been a race within a race scenario and we historically haven’t done well in that scenario. I’m just hoping things will be different this time around,” said Aeroquip lead crewman Steve Hermann.
Team owner and driver, Mike Janis, is taking the race within a race in stride.
“I know its cliché but we just have to race the track. I know we have the car, team and power to race with anyone here. It’s just a matter of racing the track. If the surface is favorable to us I think everything else will take care of it self,” said the Elma, NY based engine builder.
