O’FALLON, MO (Sep. 17, 2008) — The Flowmaster American Drag Racing League (ADRL) presented by the National Guard has named LenMar Motorsports the title sponsor for its season-ending national event Oct. 24-25, at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas. LenMar Motorsports is a one-stop race shop in Mansfield , Texas , just south of Dallas .
“We’ve been talking a lot lately about wanting to do more advertising and this race is about the biggest sponsorship we could get out there,” said Gaylen Smith, co-owner of LenMar Motorsports with Mark Eddins and an ADRL Pro Extreme racer himself with a LenMar-built 1970 Barracuda. “We love the outlaw racing, we’ve always done it, but we want to get the LenMar name out there beyond just our local business.”
LenMar Motorsports is capable of building new race cars from front to back, top to bottom and everything in between. It has a dedicated chassis shop, can perform all plumbing and wiring jobs, has an engine shop capable of turning out supercharged, nitrous-assisted or turbocharged powerplants, and even in-house graphics and paint services are available.
LenMar Motorsports counts several prominent ADRL competitors among its customers, including current Extreme 10.5 world champion Steve Gorman and Pro Nitrous star Thomas Myers. In addition to racing Smith’s car at the ADRL World Finals, LenMar will debut a brand-new turbocharged Extreme 10.5 entry driven by Grant McCrary.
“We’re very excited about LenMar Motorsports coming on board as our World Finals title sponsor,” ADRL President Kenny Nowling said. “These guys are hard-core racers and as competitors they thoroughly understand what the ADRL is all about, so it’s a real honor to know they like what they see enough to make such an important commitment.”
