O' FALLON, Mo. (Dec. 11, 2006) - The Flowmaster American Drag Racing League today announced plans to hold its first-ever pre season test session Feb. 3 and 4 at Montgomery Motorsports Park in Montgomery, Ala. The track will be open both days, free of charge, for test runs for all Pro Extreme, Pro Nitrous, and Pro 10.5 cars in attendance.
The two-day session will provide a first look at Montgomery's resurfaced track and a chance to get some runs in before the ADRL opens its 2007 season at the same facility two weeks later.
"Both George (Montgomery Motorsports Park track operator George Howard) and I thought it was important to give our drivers an opportunity to take some shots at the track in preparation for the ADRL competing in Montgomery for the first time," said ADRL President Kenny Nowling. "A number of our drivers have raced at Montgomery in the past, but with the resurfacing of the track, it's going to be a whole new ball game."
The ADRL will officially open its 2007 season with the third annual SpeedTech Winter Drags on Feb. 16-18 at MMP (an event which will also include the completion of the rain-delayed World Finals from last October). The series will announce its complete 2007 schedule on Friday at the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show in Orlando, Fla.
"We're extremely grateful to George and his staff for the generous opportunity extended to all of our race teams," Nowling said. "It's just another example of why George is one of the top promoters and track operators in all of drag racing."
