Quotable:
“Last race of the season, we’re going to go in with our heads down and give it everything we’ve got. The NHRA Finals have always been really good to us. In 2012, we won the championship but this year, we just want to go out there and end the last race of the year on a high note and take our Matco Tools ‘Test Drive’ car one round at a time and see if we can end the season by parking it in the winner’s circle.”
Note:
Three-time NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle world champion Angelle Sampey will compete in her fourth Top Alcohol Dragster event this weekendas part of Antron Brown’s new AB Motorsports Accelerate Program
Sampey will campaign the Mission Foods A/Fuel Dragster, owned and operated by Samsel Racing
She recently powered to a runner-up finish – her first on four wheels – in Las Vegas at last weekend’s divisional event. The week prior, Sampey recorded her first No. 1 qualifier in the category while competing at the NHRA Nevada Nationals.
