I missed the 81' race, but I made what I think was the best race I ever attended, and that was the 82' race at National Trail. A little bit of drama to say the least. Say what you want about Shirley, but she had the biggest heart in drag racing history, and it's a LONG way to second place.
Those were great races, and a great time in Granville. Lots of heat and tons of humidity. Love those old Swindahl front wings.

Hey Bobby Bennet, these old races are really cool. Where are you finding them I would love copies of all the old races to make into a personal collection.
