BROWNSBURG, Ind. (January 23, 2025) – USA Compression returns for another season with the championship-winning Ron Capps Motorsports (RCM) team, it was announced today. As one of the nation’s leading providers of large horsepower compression services for infrastructure applications involving natural gas and crude oil, the ongoing partnership with three-time NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series champion Ron Capps and his 12,000-horsepower nitromethane-fueled Funny Car is a match made in high horsepower heaven.

The Dallas-based organization has supported Capps and his quest for win lights and Wally trophies since 2015. When the second-winningest Funny Car racer in NHRA history announced he was leaving his longtime home at Don Schumacher Racing to launch RCM in 2022, USA Compression followed suit, supporting Capps in his privateering venture. With the upcoming NHRA season fast approaching, Capps is thrilled to share that USA Compression has signed on for another year and increased its associate-level sponsorship to include support at all 20 races on the 2025 schedule.

“This is a really cool partnership because there is so much correlation between what USA Compression does out in the field and what our NAPA Funny Car team does on the race track, with big horsepower being the common denominator,” explained Capps, who is gearing up for his fourth year of NHRA team ownership. “High-powered engines are at the root of everything we do. We both rely on horsepower, and both industries encounter high-stakes safety scenarios in our daily endeavors, which means highly skilled employees are crucial to our success.

“I’ve had the pleasure of meeting many USA Compression employees over the years, particularly when we go out to Reading (Pa.) and Dallas,” added Capps. “They love coming out to the track, checking out the car, feeling the rumble when two side-by-side Funny Cars are barreling down the dragstrip, header flames shooting over the roof. They’re big fans, and their support is a major reason why the relationship with USA Compression has been going strong for a decade now. They just have such an appreciation for what we do, and we have the utmost respect for what they do. So, a huge thank you to all of the USA Compression employees for their continued support of our race team over all these years.”

As part of the agreement, USA Compression will be featured prominently on the spill plates of Capps’ NAPA Auto Care Toyota GR Supra in addition to receiving branding on team crew shirts and Capps’ firesuit. Aside from the exposure, one of the more important aspects of the partnership is access to the RCM hospitality pavilion and NAPA race pit as USA Compression utilizes the race program as part of their internal rewards system, treating employees to a ‘day at the drags’ with Capps, a 76-time race winner, serving as their host.

“Ron Capps has exemplified excellence in Funny Car racing for many years, and USA Compression is proud to once again sponsor him and his team ahead of the 2025 season,” said Clint Green, CEO, USA Compression. “We’ve been partnering with Ron for over a decade now, and it’s been a terrific ride. We couldn’t be more excited to be a part of his winning team for another season.”

With the support of USA Compression, the Ron Capps Motorsports team is scheduled to hit the track for the first time in 2025 at the PRO Superstar Shootout in Bradenton, Fla., Feb. 6 – 8. The NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season gets underway with the NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Fla., March 7 – 9, where Capps returns as a four-time event winner.
