“With such a historic event like the Gatornationals, you really couldn’t ask for a better place to start the NHRA season. You can feel the energy heading into this weekend’s race. Obviously, it was a great start for our NAPA team getting the win at the PRO Superstar Shootout race last month. It was definitely the best way to kick off our 2025 campaign, and we feel like we’re getting off on the right foot. Guido (crew chief Dean Antonelli) is very focused on the tune-up and is very happy with the way the car is responding so I can’t wait to hop in and get the weekend under way.
“For us, we have a lot of really cool things planned. We’re running a special car to kick off the season with a black-and-green Carlyle scheme that we’ll also run in Indy and Las Vegas 2. It’s a totally different look for us and I think our fans are going to be very excited about it. Obviously, when you decide to do something special, there are only a few races you can pick that are worthy of doing something like that. With the Gatornationals being such a historic race and where we kick off the season, we thought it was the perfect place to come out with this new scheme.”
