Quotable:
“Sonoma Raceway is one of my favorite places. I grew up a few hours south of here, and for us, we’ve always centered our annual family summer trip with the kids around this race. A lot of our family and friends that I grew up with make a trip out of it every year, so it’s always a lot of fun with a lot of great memories. I grew up going to Sears Point as a kid, working on different race cars, and I’ve watched how much this facility has changed and evolved over the years. We came into this race last year after that explosion in Seattle, and we brought out our backup car and ended up going to the final round and came close to winning the whole event, so that’s just another page in the memory book of what is now Sonoma Raceway.

“We’ll kick off the race week tonight at Russian River Brewing with Antron (Brown), and we’ll have some of our local NAPA supporters join us there. We have a huge contingent of AAA folks coming out on Friday and joining us at the track. And on Saturday and Sunday, we’ll have a huge amount of our NAPA folks come out, and it’s just great to have that kind of support around you.

“This will be our team’s 75th race, so a lot of fun things happening, and I can’t wait to get it all started. Obviously, would love to finish Sunday on the stage drinking out of the wine goblet.”
