“Having a great start to the 2025 season at the Gatornationals is great for anybody on a team. And, you back up a little bit and look at the PRO Superstar Shootout race, and to get that win back in February and then go into Gainesville with a little more confidence than we had last year was big. To leave Gainesville after running great in our new Carlyle Tools livery and take it to the final round with a chance to win the race is always great. But, more than anything, it’s the confidence that the team has. It’s so nice to see Guido (crew chief Dean Antonelli) knowing he can go up there and predict what the car is going to run and push when we have to, but also when we don’t think we have to push as hard, to set it so our NAPA Auto Care Toyota GR Supra just goes down the track, and that is how we won those championships together.
“I’m pretty pumped to head to Phoenix. We have two in a row and then a week break, then Vegas, and then back east. So, you can blink, and all of a sudden it has been three races, and you’ve either moved up in the points or dropped. Lots of cool stuff happening this weekend, and we’re going to see if we can steal the first #2Fast2Tasty trophy in Phoenix and get another Wally for the NAPA team.”
