BROWNSBURG, IND. (Aug. 19, 2025) – NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing fans won’t be seeing double on Labor Day Weekend but they will be seeing the John Force Racing teams of Brittany Force (Top Fuel) and Austin Prock (Funny Car) both sponsored by Cornwell Quality Tools for the Aug. 27 – Sept. 1 Cornwell Quality Tools U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.
Prock’s Cornwell Tools Chevrolet SS Funny Car has become a familiar fixture atop the point standings since his 2024 class debut, subsequent season championship, and last week at Brainerd (Minn.) International Raceway, becoming the first Funny Car driver to clinch a spot in the 2025 Countdown to the Championship. For Force, the Cornwell Quality Tools U.S. Nationals will be the first NHRA event that the world’s fastest race car of two-time Top Fuel Champion (2022, 2017) Force will compete under the Cornwell Quality Tools banner.
“I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to John Force Racing for the incredible opportunity to serve as primary sponsor for Brittany Force and her Top Fuel team at the inaugural Cornwell Quality Tools U.S. Nationals,” said Bob Studenic, CEO, Cornwell Quality Tools. “With Funny Car points leader Austin Prock and the indomitable Queen of Speed, Brittany Force, teaming up under the Cornwell Quality Tools banner, this Labor Day weekend at the Big Go promises to be nothing short of electrifying. The roar of horsepower, the thrill of competition, and the spirit of champions – what better way to celebrate the holiday!”
Cornwell Quality Tools, founded in 1919 by Eugene Cornwell and headquartered in Wadsworth, Ohio, began its partnership with John Force Racing in 2019 and has steadily expanded its presence over the past seven seasons. Cornwell Quality Tools is also the Official Professional Tools of NHRA.
“I am excited to head to the biggest race of the season, the Cornwell Quality Tools U.S. Nationals, with our Top Fuel dragster in Cornwell Quality Tools paint schemes,” said Force. “It’s awesome to have a matching car to my teammate, Austin Prock, who’s been so successful with Cornwell. The team’s goal is to have a solid weekend, qualify in the top five, and turn some win lights on Monday.”
Force made her Top Fuel debut at the 2013 U.S. Nationals and finished runner-up in 2016 before making it to the winner’s circle in 2017. She also finished runner-up in 2020. She is currently fifth in the 2025 NHRA Top Fuel point standings, with just the U.S. Nationals ahead of the Countdown to the Championship.
“All of us at John Force Racing are proud to have both Brittany and Austin’s cars carry the Cornwell paint schemes for next week’s U.S. Nationals,” said team owner and 16-time NHRA Funny Car Champion John Force. “Cornwell has been a great partner for many years so having both cars compete for the win in the race with their name on it is going to be exciting. Brittany and crew chiefs David Grubnic and John Collins have been putting big speeds on the board all year, and now they’re finding their consistency, so they’re right where they need to be with the Countdown to the Championship on the horizon.”
Qualifying for the Cornwell Quality Tools U.S. Nationals begins Friday, Aug. 29, at 7:30 p.m. (ET), followed by two sessions Saturday, Aug. 30 (12:30 p.m., 3:15 p.m.) and two more sessions Sunday, Aug. 31 (12 p.m., 2:45 p.m.). Eliminations on Monday, Sept. 1, begin at 10 a.m.
