LAS VEGAS (Oct. 29, 2025) – Justin Ashley and the SCAG Power Equipment Toyota Top Fuel dragster team are primed for a high-stakes showdown at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, as they enter this weekend’s Dodge NHRA Nevada Nationals second in the Top Fuel points standings. With only two races remaining in the 2025 Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series season, the SCAG Toyota crew is hoping for some lady luck to help close the gap.
Fresh off a No. 3 qualifying position and a quarterfinal finish at the Texas NHRA FallNationals, Ashley remains a dominant force in the class. The 202 Rookie of the Year has racked up an impressive four victories this season, including trips to seven final rounds—a testament to the team’s consistency.
“We are still in the championship hunt,” said Ashley who is 141 points back from leader and Toyota teammate Dough Kalitta. “I understand that on paper it’s going to be a difficult task but that’s never stopped us before. The goal for our SCAG Power Equipment team never changes. It’s all about being our very best both on and off the racetrack. The rest will take care of itself. I am looking forward to an outstanding weekend.”
Ashley is looking for his first win at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Earlier this year at the Four Wide Nationals at the facility, the SCAG dragster qualified eighth and made it to the final quad earning semifinal points. Last year at the fall Nevada Nationals, Ashley had a quarterfinal exit after qualifying seventh but at the spring Four-Wide he finished runner-up from the No. 10 spot.
“We are all ready for Las Vegas,” said Ashley. “It’s been a busy few weeks with a number of different changes, but the best way to continue moving forward is by getting to the race track. We have an excellent plan in place with Tommy DeLago at crew chief and Jason McCulloch as the assistant. I have so much respect and gratitude for both of them. This is going to be an exciting journey with two proven winners and an outstanding team underneath them.”
Competition at the Dodge NHRA Nevada Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway begins with four rounds of qualifying Friday at 12:30 and 3 p.m. and Saturday at noon and 2:30 p.m. Eliminations round out the weekend Sunday at 11 a.m. Fans can catch the action live on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) with a qualifying show at 3 p.m. ET and eliminations at 5 p.m. ET
