GAINESVILLE, Fla. (March 04, 2026) — Justin Ashley and the SCAG Power Equipment Top Fuel dragster team are set to open their 2026 Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season at this weekend’s Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway.
The team closed out the 2025 campaign earning a third-place finish in the Top Fuel points standings. The final races of the season also brought leadership changes, with Tommy DeLago moving up and Jason McCulloch joining him to guide the team. After an offseason filled with preparation and development, Ashley and his SCAG Power Equipment team are ready to see their hard work translate to on-track performance.
“We’re all excited to kick off the year in Gainesville,” said Ashley. “Our team has put a lot of time, energy, and effort into the offseason, and now we have our first opportunity to see all of that hard work come to fruition. I’m very much looking forward to working closely with Tommy, Jason, and the rest of our SCAG Power Equipment guys in the coming days.”
This weekend will also serve as a major gathering for the SCAG Power Equipment family, with a large group of SCAG dealers in attendance along with their distributor, Florida Outdoor Equipment.
“We’re also really looking forward to spending time with such a big group of SCAG Power Equipment dealers and the Florida Outdoor Equipment distributor,” Ashley added. “It’s always great to connect with the people who support us and help make this program possible. It’ll be a great weekend both on and off the racetrack.”
Ashley’s weekend will include more than the standard four qualifying runs, as he is also slated to compete in Saturday’s Right Trailers Top Fuel All-Star Callout.
The Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals begins with two rounds of qualifying on Friday, March 6th, at 2:30 and 5 p.m., followed by two more sessions on Saturday, March 7th, at 12:35 and 3 p.m. The opening and final rounds of the Callout will run in conjunction with Saturday’s scheduled qualifying sessions, while the second round will take place between those sessions at 2:15 p.m. Eliminations are scheduled to begin Sunday, March 8th, at 10 a.m.
Television coverage of the event will be on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) with a qualifying show on Sunday at 10 a.m. ET and eliminations at 12 p.m. ET. A special Right Trailers Top Fuel All-Star Callout show will air on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET.
