POMONA, Calif. (April 11, 2026) – All four John Force Racing teams finished qualifying in the top half of their respective ladders for the NHRA Lucas Oil Winternationals meaning each will have lane choice in the first round of Sunday’s eliminations at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip.

Josh Hart qualified the Speedmaster Top Fuel Dragster in the No. 2 position with Friday’s Q2 run of 3.733 seconds at 336.15 mph. Saturday’s Q3 run was an impressive 3.788 seconds at 329.50 mph. The Dave Grubnic / John Collins-led team will face No. 15 qualifier Cameron Ferre in the first round.

Jordan Vandergriff and the Cornwell Tools Chevrolet SS Funny Car team qualified third with their Q4 run Saturday of 3.925 seconds at 329.97 mph. The Chris Cunningham / Jason Bunker-led team set low E.T. Friday with their Q2 run of 3.951 seconds at 327.90 mph and will face No. 14 qualifier Daniel Wilkerson in Round 1 of eliminations.

Alexis DeJoria and the Bandero Café Chevrolet SS Funny Car team qualified seventh with their Q4 run Saturday of 3.979 seconds at 328.46 mph. The Mike Neff / Jonnie Lindberg-led team ran 3.998 seconds at 324.83 mph in Q3 and 3.989 at 328.30 in Friday’s Q2 session. DeJoria will line up in Round 1 of eliminations next to No. 10 qualifier Dave Richards.

Jack Beckman qualified the PEAK Chevrolet SS Funny Car in the eighth spot with a Q3 run Saturday of 3.984 seconds at 325.61 mph. The PEAK SQUAD was on another strong run in Q4 when the engine clicked off shortly before the finish line. The Daniel Hood / Tim Fabrisi-led team will face No. 9 qualifier Jim Campbell in Round 1.

Sunday eliminations have been moved up one hour to 10 a.m. PT.

Quote from Josh Hart, Speedmaster Top Fuel Dragster:

“I just feel super blessed to be a part of this Speedmaster team with John Force Racing. We were really, really trying hard in Q4 to grab that No. 1 spot but a mechanical failure had other plans. So, we’re going to start tomorrow from the No. 2 spot and we’ll be just fine.”

Quote from Jordan Vandergriff, Cornwell Tools Chevrolet SS Funny Car:

“So far, so great this weekend. Being No. 1 after the first three sessions was a pretty cool feeling. Being provisional No. 1 after Friday was a first for me and it was really cool to go through the interviews and things like that. It’s funny, when No. 1 is dangled in front of you, you want it so badly but we ended up No. 3. Any other weekend, I think we would take No. 3 for sure. We’re a really good team and it’s showing here in these cool conditions. So, thank you to Chris Cunningham and Jason Bunker and we’ll have a tough first-round matchup against Daniel Wilkerson tomorrow morning.”

Quote from Alexis DeJoria, Bandero Café Chevrolet SS Funny Car:

“The Bandero Chevy team had a good start this weekend in the second round of qualifying Friday. We got that good number down early which earned us two bonus points. Today, we ran a little bit better with that 3.97 and ended up seventh at the end of qualifying. We’re in the top half of the field which is great. Pomona is one of my home tracks and I’m gunning for that win.”

Quote from Jack Beckman, PEAK Chevrolet SS Funny Car:

“The PEAK Chevy was on a good run in Q4 and the car shut off. Our first thought was maybe it nipped a piston, and the pan pressure sensor shut it off. Everything mechanical looks perfect. So, the good news is everything mechanical looks perfect. The bad news is something shut the engine off but we will find that anomaly. The silver lining is it happened in qualifying and not eliminations. We’re in the top half of the field and we have a car that we can take to the winner’s circle.”
