“We have made great strides so far throughout the first half of the season, and yes, we had a short race day at these last few events, but we are not deterred. Building a competitive team and getting everything dialed in takes time. Our team is still relatively brand-new; we’re barely seven months into it, and I know we are strong and there is so much left on the table.
“We found a few gremlins that we’ve addressed and now we’re at a point where we’re able to focus on really fine-tuning our car and combination. I know it’s hard to see on paper because we’re not going rounds on Sundays, but we’re building and working towards something greater. Mike Neff and Todd Smith are very methodical in their approach. We don’t want to hurt parts and we don’t want to go over center. I’m so fortunate to be surrounded by such a strong and motivated team. We’ve already built a great rapport in just these past few months. We’re now at the halfway point and I feel like we have everything in order and things are starting to come together. I have the utmost confidence that we will win at least one race this year and I know that once we reach our full potential, we will be dangerous. I have no doubt.”
