When Todd advanced to the semifinals, he earned a spot in the Mission #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge next week in Norwalk, Ohio. During Saturday’s qualifying sessions, the drivers who reached the semifinals in Richmond will re-run the semifinals and final earning additional purse and championship bonus points.

Unofficial Point Standings: Todd leaves Richmond in sixth place in the NHRA Funny Car point standings. He trails fifth-place Matt Hagan by 23 points and leads seventh-place Daniel Wilkerson by 24 points.

Todd on Richmond: “We had some really tricky conditions today, and I’m really proud of Dickie (Crew Chief Dickie Venables) and the DHL guys for the way they battled this weekend. We had a good qualifying effort and pretty much went down the track every run except the semifinals. You hate to lose like that against those guys; you never want to give ‘em away, but we had a good points day. Now we have to carry this momentum into Norwalk next weekend.”
