NORWALK, Ohio (Aug. 4, 2025) – Driving her Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage / Melling Performance / SCAG Power Equipment Pro Stock machine, Erica Enders raced to victory late Saturday night at the Cornwell Tools Night Under Fire at Summit Motorsports Park.

In the final, Enders took down five-time Pro Stock world champion and Elite Motorsports teammate Jeg Coughlin Jr. with a 6.522-second pass at 210.67 mph after Jeg Jr. was -.005-seconds red on the starting line.

“I have some scoops from winning the National event here, this place obviously means a lot to me. And there is no comparison to the Bader family as far as promotion and execution of a fantastic event,” said Enders. “This was our first time here for Night Under Fire. I hadn’t even been here as a spectator, let alone a racer, and I am absolutely blown away. The fireworks were unbelievable, even better than my expectations. I’m super stoked to have been a part of it and lucky to have turned on that win light.

“My car’s fast, but Jeg, he’s a mean leaver over there. He had double zero reaction times earlier in the day, you can’t get much better than him,” Enders continued. “Our beacon win light came on by default, but I’m stoked for JHG, Melling, SCAG and for this team. This definitely puts a little pep in our step, as we’ve not had the greatest of seasons. So here we are last man and woman standing.”

En route to the finals, Erica and Jeg Jr. had to outperform rivals Greg Anderson and Dallas Glenn. In the qualifying session, Erica was best of the foursome with a 6.557-second pas at 209.95 while Jeg Jr. was second with a. 6.561 at 207.94. As the top qualifiers, the teammates raced each other in the final while Anderson and Glenn faced off for third place.

“This was the first time we’ve ever been invited to the Night Under Fire, it’s quite a privilege. It’s home track for me being just down the street in Columbus, Ohio—Dublin to be more specific. I’m just happy to be here with all the Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana fans,” Jeg Jr. said. “The Bader family puts on one heck of a show, and for them to include Pro Stock this year in the arsenal was quite flattering. For Erica and I to get to join as part of the Pro Stock contingent with Greg [Anderson] and Dallas [Glenn], and then to be the last two standing and obviously, Erica hoisting the big win, it’s exciting.”

Enders and Jeg Jr. will be back with their Elite Motorsports teammates on the Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series circuit August 15-17 at Brainerd International Raceway for the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals in Minnesota.
