“Looking forward to getting to zMAX for some redemption. This track has always been good to the Matco squad and we’re hoping for more of that this weekend so we can get back up into the top five in points where we need to be. Obviously, our 2025 Countdown did not get off the way we had planned. We got behind in qualifying (in Reading, Pa.) and ended up in the bottom half of the field, setting us up with a really tough opponent on race day. Luckily, we have a good track record in Charlotte and with four-wide races. Our team knows how to maneuver the four-wide format. But whether it’s two-wide or four, the plan remains the same; make a good run in Q1 to establish a baseline, work to get ourselves qualified in the top three, and take it one round at a time on race day.”
